Police: Fatal Crash Was Botched Murder-Suicide Attempt:

When police first arrived at the access road of Interstate 10 West near Wurzbach Road after midnight, they found a crashed Lexus on its roof.
Rain-slicked roads and a damaged guardrail led investigators to initially believe that the crash was an accident.
But when investigators interviewed the passenger, Amy Parrilla, about the crash, they discovered the incident was no ordinary investigation.
Parrilla told police that her boyfriend, Adam Parish, got into an argument and told her that "I'm going to kill us." At that point, Parish then tried to unbuckle her seat belt, police said.
"He unbuckled his seat belt and was in the process of unbuckling her seat belt when he lost control of the vehicle, struck the guardrail and caused the vehicle to flip," said San Antonio police spokesman Sgt. Gabe Treviño.
Investigators estimate that the Lexus skidded 67 feet along the guardrail before rolling on its roof for 85 feet, Treviño said.
Parish was partially ejected from the vehicle, while Parrilla was suspended upside down, Treviño said. Parrilla was transported to University Hospital, where she is listed in serious condition.
